Concerned disciples and followers of Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami feel let down by the ISKCON leaders in the Bhajan Kutir – Samadhi issue and feel as though that there has not been any response from them to this alarming tragedy of the destruction of the bhajan kutir of the Founder Acarya of the ISKCON society, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

This is a tragedy for us all!
The remains of Srila Prabhupada’s bhajan kutir
After the destruction of Srila Prabhupada’s bhajan kutir, very soon the government will come and dig right next to our Srila Gurudev’s bhajana kutir and samadhi and put a sewerage line through out the temple premises and through the water pond where chandan-yatra takes place (the boat festival). I remember the day that Srila Gour Govinda Swami told us that Krsna and Balaram had come to him and requested him for the chandan-yatra festival to be observed, and so the pond was built. In fact that next day a small pond was built and a boat was built for this chandan-yatra festival.
Srila Gurudeva told us Krsna had said, ” You observe ratha-yatra and other festivals but why do you not do chandan-yatra for us? ”
From what I understand they, the National Highway Authorities, now own the land in front of our temple, and the samadhi of our Srila Gurudeva as well. But we have to confirm this with the managers of ISKCON Bhubaneswar, to find out from them exactly how much of our temple grounds are now owned by the National Highway Authorities.
The Well

Their next plan is to fill the well that has been divinely touched by Srila Gour Govinda Swami who had then asked the devotees to dig at that point for obtaining adequate water and that happened and so much water was there, which was enough to meet all the requirement of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Temple and even provided water to hundreds and hundreds of people during the time of super cyclone in 1999 when the government water supply line was defunct. Now the NHAI want to get the well filled in which is next to Srila Gurudev’s sleeping room.
They have a plan to dig the earth eight feet down from the surface and to take the sewerage line covered up by a strong well built in-pipe (so that the percolation of sewerage water would be least) to serve as the drainage line. In that way after filling the well they will continue the drainage line into the existing Lotus Temple and the present boundary wall and beyond to serve as the sewerage line.
Not a Bona Fide Committee Member
It was our dear godbrother Sacinandan Prabhu who, with very bad health, flew to new Delhi and met the minister for roads in India, and the minister promised not to put the sewerage line in our temple, he told it would be put next to the service road.
The Iskcon leaders headed by Gopal Krishna Swami told Sacinandan Prabhu that he was not a bona fide committee member therefore Sacinandan Prabhu had to stop helping in this matter. They phoned Sacinandan Prabhu and told him that he should not get involved even though Sacinandan was the person that organised that the national highway authorities would not touch our land some 10 years back. That document has been lost or destroyed and the photocopy of the original is not accepted as proof by the government authorities.
So they, the bona fide committee members, have not been able to meet that chief minister for roads. The committee members have achieved nothing and so now this is the outcome.
Truly this material world in the words of our Srila Gour Govinda Swami who told, “The material platform, is a nasty platform.” The question now is: how can we do something that will make it better, now?

First of all i would like to know whose disciple you are and where is your residence. Another thing i would like to know whether your friend Sri Gopika Devi Dasi did she ever met Srila Gurudeva? You mentioned she is a disciple of Lokanath Maharaj and she had the dream of Srila Gurudeva and in the dream, did she ask Srila Gurudeva herself about where is He going next or you asked your friend? Did Srila Gurudeva say He is going to Singapore next or she assumed it is Singapore. Because you have mentioned in your posting, “she said maybe to Singapore.” Vaishnava aparadhas have happened in the past based on wrong assumption or wrong interpretation and assuming without being clear that it is Srila Gurudeva can be harmful for spiritual life because Srila Gurudeva is Sri Guru and as such it is Sri Guru Krishna Paramatma appears in the dream of individuals and disciples assuming such forms. This is Sri Guru tattva and Srila Gurudeva is not your typical ISKCON or Gaudiya matha guru. Please clarify everything correctly before posting it in public forum, many people in the past interpreted their dreams the way they wanted to and promoted and at the end they ended up having lot of spiritual problems. Back in 1978 we had suspicious persons come by measuring the boundaries of the Bhubaneswara temple property. I confronted one man, who claimed our boundaries were not right. I found this very troubling, having some idea of the power of corrupt money and lawyers to do harm to innocents. Shortly thereafter, I had fencing erected around the entire property, and put up a very large billboard-size sign cemented in and supported by heavy telephone-pole sized poles, announcing construction of Krsna Balarama Temple in the name of our founder-acarya, Srila Prabhupada. So even back then, unscrupulous persons were attempting to gain control of valuable property close to the highway. So the land there has long been seen with envious eyes by such persons.
Along the same vein, as secretary treasurer, I was full aware of over one million rupees held in our bank account. This was 1977 ish, so this was a lot of money. One day i received a message from Jayapataka demanding the money be transferred to him in Mayapura for their construction work. I procrastinated, then upon receit of a second telegraph message demanding immediate delivery, i personally took the cheque to him in Mayapura. I was told emergency needs demanded the money, but that the money would be recovered for Bhubaneswara later. Was i naive and powerless, or what. Though it is all in Krsnas service, still there is individual accounting, so was this outright taking of our funds ever made up for? Was this money returned? If not, then Mayapura temple owes Bhubaneswara a current value of Rs 8,500,000. ie eight million plus, rupees equivalent in todays exchange.
I am not Indian born, but i have seen a consistent abuse of the Orissan yatra by outsiders who think they have a right to walk in and take. On the other hand, we have of course also seen selflessness and life-long commitment to the greatest degree shown by purest of servitors such as Srila Gour Govinda Swami Thakura. Let us follow the divine examples and eschew the nasty.
The devotees should no longer accept such abuses as routine. No wonder rascals think they can just cheat us, and we will succumb. I was also a submitter to outside influences, because at the time, i was a very young man over-awed by the big big authority figures who supposedly represented Srila Prabhupada. Now, i think maybe Srila Prabhupada would not have approved of this looting of the yatra, even though Mayapura dhama was of such importance at the time, and i just did what i was told to do by selfish-interested parties. Never again.
Many devotees try to tell me that we are for peace, we are pacifist, we do not fight, we love. But just see the results of this > demons walk in and take, until there is nothing left. Naivete and submission to so called authorities who are in reality self serving demons is causing great havoc. Nita Pandita has raised the question again, who has profitted and who is behind this robbery? Where is the accounting? Where is the independnet uncompromised legal council to find out these things? If there is even a slight discrepancy, charges should be laid, and mean while all actions by these bulldozer demons must be stopped by the courts.

Hare Krishna. all glories to Srila Gurudeva. Thank you for posting this dream. Your friend is very fortunate to have darshan of Sri Guru and she had this dream in Vrindavan. In the dream, she saw Srila Gurudeva in her Johor Boru home, dreams generally occur in the familiar surrounding that the living entity is associated with and in this her Johor Boru home. Why I say like that? Your friend probably lived longer in Johor Boru than Vrindavan if this is correct then dreams do occur in settings where the living entity had a longer stay or incidents. Now the question regarding where is srila Gurudeva going next? This question was raised by you to her and not by your friend to srila Gurudeva and to your question, she replied, “maybe to Singapore.” It is easily assumed Singapore next because it is next to Malaysia and Srila Gurudeva is used to visit Singapore. This Singapore thing is all assumption because she saw Srila Gurudeva in her Johor Boru home, like I said dreams always happens in familiar surroundings of the living entity’s life. Now you said your friend lives in Vrindavan and if this is correct then is it possible to find out where was she that day in relation to temple visitations or did she meeting someone related to Srila Gurudeva or read His books, etc. One has to be careful in their interpretations especially great personalities because Sri Krishna does not like wrong interpretations, Sri Krishna prefers honesty in His devotees’ dealings. Still, the final conclusion is, if your friend was living in Vrindavan when the dream occurred but in the dream Srila Gurudeva was in her Johor Boru home and He asked for her to help with accommodation then we have to assume Srila Gurudeva is talking about Vrindavan because that is where she was when the dream occurred. So logical conclusion would be your friend was living in Johor Boru and then Vrindavan, now Srila Gurudeva appeared in her dream in her Johor Boru home and then now she is living in Vrindavan this means He wants accommodation in Vrindavan as the dream occurred in Vrindavan as this is where she is currently residing. Hope this helps, I always found very helpful is praying to Srila Gurudeva whenever confusion occurs since He resides in my heart as Sri Guru Sri Krishna Paramatma He always clears my doubt and this helps me in avoiding wrong interpretations and conclusions.

As we all know Srila Prabhupada had been preaching the glories of Mahaprabhu all over the world. He was very successful, and had made many disciples. However, when he visited Jagannatha Puri his disciples were refused entrance to the Jagannatha Temple. Therefore Srila Prabhupada wanted a temple in Bhubaneswar “just like the Temple in Jagannatha Puri” where all his Western disciples could go and take darshan of Lord Jagannatha. Lord Jagannatha came to Bhubaneswar as Srila Prabhupada predicted. Thus, as followers of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Sri Sri Krsna-Balaram Temple in Bhubaneswar is of major importance for the whole ISKCON society, and I agree with Rasamanjari that it is not just the concern of the disciples and followers of Srila Gour Govinda Swami.

As we all know that the Indians are not very subtle when they are excavating and doing ground works etc. If they mis-calculate then the samadhi could cave in. The lotus temple could cave in and the pond will disappear.
In point of actual fact they [NHAI] should not be allowed on the property. Who actually allowed them on and if it is true that they own the front section of the temple property, who sold it to them and what happened to the payment. There should be some transparency here. I mean we all collected for that temple, some more than others but none-the-less we should be able to see the accounts of what is actually going on there. Should we appoint Public Auditors to check the bank accounts and the accounting books of the temple just to make sure everything is above board?

I get so upset about this because Srila Gour Govinda Swami, a dear, tender, beloved intimate of Sri Sri Radha and Krishna, descended from the beautiful, peaceful, loving Spiritual World (reference: Krishna Lingita Vigraha, One who is always embraced by Lord Krishna) and struggled and suffered in this miserable, nasty stool pit to serve Srila Prabhupada and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu so valiantly for US. And Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada also did the same, no less. Not for themselves, for us. So, are we really going to let their divine projects be destroyed by ‘committees’ and ‘authorities’, either within or outside of ISKCON?
The very land where the Bhubaneswar Temple, Samadhi Mandir and Bhajan Kutir stands is Holy, each stone of that Temple is Holy, the pastimes associated with Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva at that Temple are the Holiest on the planet, more so than countless other huge and famous religious edifices in the world. Therefore Kali and his ruthless, demonic followers want to reduce and destroy it, to cause devotees grief. Everyone wants to be happy in this material world. Mahabhagavat paramhansas like Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva and their servants want the non-devotees to be eternally happy by taking to Krishna Consciousness but Srila Prabhupada warned us the demons become happy by seeing the devotees unhappy. Also remember Kali means hypocrisy, so to the face they will say things like “Sorry”, ” Just a little”, “Soon” or “it’s for your benefit” while they purposely harm you..we see this more and more in every sphere, especially from ‘authorities’.
The conditioned souls who have joined the Hare Krishna movement are like frogs in a pot of boiling water. At first the frog senses the water feels different, then tolerable, then barely tolerable, then intolerable, then it’s all over, he dies. The Hare Krishna Movement of Sriman Caitanya Mahaprabhu is being boiled on various fronts by its enemies, the enemies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His servants. “According to Vedic injunctions there are six kinds of aggressors: 1) a poison giver, 2) one who sets fire to the house, 3) one who attacks with deadly weapons, 4) one who plunders riches, 5) one who occupies another’s land, and 6) one who kidnaps a wife. Such aggressors are at once to be killed, and no sin is incurred by killing such aggressors.” (Purport Ch. 1,Txt 36, Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is). How serious is the crime of occupying another’s land!
As far as i am concerned, the Bhubaneswar Temple including the Bhajan Kutir, belongs to Srila Prabhupada, as the land was gifted to him. Historically Srila Prabhupada fought like a lion to protect Lord Krishna’s properties. The Temple, well, pond, and other buildings he caused to be built by his strenuous divine effort and the Samadhi Mandir also belong to Srila Gurudeva. Nobody has the right to damage or take even an inch from this holy land, these holy structures. No ISKCON or non-ISKCON person has the authorization to permit such a thing. Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva existed before any devotees and they continue to exist. The Temple existed before the highway and all the buildings around it. Those who know the history of this Temple will remember it was all dangerous jungle at the time Srila Gurudeva went there. Srila Prabhupada said a city would grow up around it. Although his leading men fought against it, he sent Srila Gour Govinda to develop that land with no money and no men. The story of Srila Gurudeva’s personal endeavor is heart wrenching, and eventually, what Srila Prabhupada envisioned and Srila Gurudeva struggled to create, manifested. It must remain as it is; let the roads, sewers, whatever, go around it. Those who have illegally torn Srila Prabhupada’s Bhajan Kutir down, and removed other buildings and portions of land must pay to have them rebuilt and reacquired, immediately.
If Srila Gurudeva and Sri Gopal Jiu want his divine body to move to another place, he will definitely go there. If not, he will stay. Meanwhile, the aspect of his removal and relocation as a tactic in dealing with this demonic attack weakens our determination to get the demons off the Sri Bhubaneswar Temple property for good. Our duty is clear and many, including Tamohar prabhu, Mother Sadhika, Nimai Pandit and Sachinandan prabhus, have given worthwhile suggestions from the start as to how best accomplish this.
Gopal Krishna Maharaj passed his time in showing the devotees and Lord Krishna how little understanding and effort he has to spare for this important matter; the frogs feel the water has gotten noticeably warmer. The hotter the water, the weaker the warriors will become. No time to lose now. Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva have so many admirers everywhere. It is time to involve all the Hare Krishna devotees in the world, join together all groups, including casual supporters in saving the Temple, the Samadhi Mandir, Bhajan Kutir, other structures, pond and well. Let the natural successful leader/s step naturally into his/their rightful position/s, let the rank and file devotees support in whichever way they can. Forget committees and politics, just praying and chanting, working together, written and public protests and involvement of media, crowds of devotees and friends, pious government and royal allies, ethical lawyers, human rights organizations and respectable Hindu supporters. This is not the last fight and our organization and experience now will help us in future.

Somehow all the Western devotees and Hare Krishna friends, supporters need to be appraised of this terrible situation as it is a HUGE attack on His Divine Grace Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada and OUR Jagannath Temple, provided for us by Srila Prabhupada. It is not just an issue for Srila Gour Govinda Swami’s disciples or local BBSR devotees to struggle with. Srila Prabhupada’s Divine Bhajan Kutir has been ruthlessly demolished! He refused to stay in the Guesthouse offered for his comfort for 17 days. He said “I will only stay where my disciple child Gour Govinda has built a mud hut for me”. Such a symbol of love between sad guru and sad siksha has been destroyed by demons and the rest of the Temple is under immediate threat of further demolition and pollution. Our Sri Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra Mayi deserve all our efforts for Their comfort and protection. Hare Krishna.

2. Srila Prabhupada said of His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami: ‘Krsna has sent him’. The only other time Srila Prabhupada said that is when he was talking about his own Divine Spiritual Master.
3. Srila Prabhupada’s exalted Godbrother Srila Krsna Dasa Babaji Maharaja, whom Srila Prabhupada said was niskincana and paramahamsa; said of Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja, “…he is a maha-bhagavata…” And then paid full dandavats to him. This being an example as to how to treat a maha-bhagavata.
4. The Acarya from Sri Rangam (1930 – 2012) came specially to see His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami to verify what his astrologer disciple had seen. The symptoms of a maha-bhagavata on the body of His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami. When he arrive he verified this and paid full dandavats to His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami. This Acarya would come regularly to visit His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami. He would come because there in ISKCON Bhubaneswar was a maha-bhagavata. The history of this Acarya of the Sri Sampradaya is very amazing. No time to put it all in this comment.
Bearing in mind the Acarya from Sri Rangam had met many sannyasis inside ISKCON and outside of ISKCON but nothing like His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami.
He also said that the birthmarks on the body of His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami represented different avatars of the Lord!!!
Those persons or personalities who could see the symptoms of a maha-bhagavata on the body of an individual could see them on His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami, astrologers, sadhus, sannyasis, Acaryas from different sampradayas. They could see it.
Do I have to go on about this…?
It is a clear as anything that His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami is not an ordinary devotee, he is a devotee of the highest order, but we want to brush all this aside and just sit by idly while the temple and surrounding buildings that His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami built are knocked down.
There are enough devotees in Orissa to deal with this. There are enough devotees in Orissa to arrange maha-sankirtana, develop public awareness, go to the media and then the NHAI will back off. As they have done in the past.
My four points above are abbreviated, the list of glories of His Divine Grace Gour Govinda Swami is very long. Why isn’t he glorified all over the planet in a massive way and especially by his disciples. And we can all start by saving the samadhi and rebuilding Srila Prabhupada’s bhajan kutir.
I even heard devotees were hiding in the toilets when the NHAI came to knock down the bhajan kutir and samadhi.
I was receiving emails, by resident devotees, to please come to Bhubaneswar and help. What am I going to do I am a Westerner I am not an Oriya (Odia). If the Oriyas start massive sankirtana then many will come and join in including westerners. If they embark on a massive campaign to save the samadhi and the surrounding buildings including the Lotus Temple and to rebuild the bajan kutir of Srila Prabhupada, the world will be on their side but first they must begin. They should start now. The whole of the Egytian government was crippled by twitter and facebook, mundane as it is, the fellow had been in power for 40 years and he had to go. Once this situation in Bhubaneswar reaches the main media outlets and the people in general then the NHAI will have to re-think their whole horrible designs for the Sri Sri Krsna Balarama temple in Bhubaneswar.

One thing I forgot in my above reply; Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has said that the disciple should glorify the spiritual master everyday for one hour.

Haribol , dandavats all ….I have to admit when I went to bhubaneswar two weeks after Srila Gurudeves diss and saw that instead of building a nice samadhi for him ,the devotees there chose to dig s hole in his room and put his transcendental body there ?? I always felt it wasn’t right not proper honour and respect given to such a great acarya ! Behind the temple they could have built a nice Samadhi and in 1996 the highway was an issue even then so why why why ? .Isckon leaders will never give the respect and honour he deserves, mayapur or any where …so I believe his transcendental remains should be exhumed and taken to Danda bhanga at Chandan Pur which is very very bueatiful ashram under sripad sanchinandan prabhu ,and there a proper Samadhi can be built and museum and nice whorship and sevice will be given. That is best thing to do I believe get him away from these rascals who dont care for him …..no formal isckon temple will ever give him the proper respect he deserves they want him to dissapear ! So why are so many of His nitya-baddha asisyas obstinately compelling Him to stay where He does NOT belong ?
He does NOT belong where His asisyas, headed by the so-called Management Committee of Srila Gurudeva’s KB Mandir frequently desecrate that Temple … with politics of power and envy, illicit meetings, etc, that have gone on and on for decades on end — even in Gurudev’s physical presence, burdening him with nothing but their stupid “problems,” so-much-so that Gurudev couldn’t wait to “escape” to far-off places for peace…
He does NOT belong where the cowards RUINING the Temple did not lift a finger to help fight the bulldozer, but used that finger (in the form of an envious GBC called Gopal Krsna Swami ) only to accuse Sacinandan Prabhu (whose heroic deeds saved Gurudev’s Vapuh from the bulldozer while the cowards looked on) of “interfering” with the Committee’s “work” when in fact the cowardly committee is guilty of more than twenty years of gross dereliction of duty. Such sinful conduct/negligence by such asisyas are the very cause of all the inauspicious things happening there, choreographed angrily by Gopaljiu to save His Pure Devotee, and therefore, it is wrong to fault the NHAI.
He does NOT belong where He will be forced to remain (like some ordinary corpse, as demonstrate by CC on 10.02.1996 when he disallowed Gurudev access to the temple) in the proximity of filthy drains and sewers and roaring traffic, not to mention the proximity of his cowardly asisys and their loveless possessiveness of Gurudev’s “remains” claimed for their own self-centred benefit.
NHAI has exercised all patience for more than twenty years. Theirs is a PUBLIC PROJECT. It has been put on hold for far too long. They can’t wait any more. Even the cabinet minister who gave Sacinandan Prabhu certain assurances could do nothing because the Committee headed by GKS did not follow up, but slept for eight months.
As I said from the beginning, this is all Krsna’s lila.
Krsna wants to fulfil Gurudev’s wish to RETURN to Holy Gupta Vrndavan, to Mahaprabhu’s very own Sridham Mayapur.
Krsna wants to rescue his premi-bhakta. Krsna’s servant, Gurudev’s friend, VISVAKARMA, is ready to help.
Why?
SIMPLE! As I said in the start, and I repeat:

Having learned long ago that “opinions” are often generated by the whims of the wicked mind, and that it is easier to stick to FACTS, I did not express my “opinion” but stated FACTS that actually manifested in Srila Gurudev’s lila… in this case, his all-glorious ANTYA-LILA.
Yes, Certainly Gurudev said many wonderful things that touched all our hearts… including his sentiment on “breathing his last” in BBSR.
But in FACT, in other words in TATTVA (of which you are supposed to be the torch-bearer), I made it very clear that it was by his OWN SWEET WILL, that he deliberately CHOSE to “breathe his last” NOT in BBSR, but in SRIDHAM MAYAPUR.
That was, by any yardstick, his “LAST ORDER” which he did not have to put in spoken or written words to one or two persons. He more than adequately DEMONSTRATED his “last Sweet Will and Testament” by enacting his Antya-lila there in Sridham Mayapur. That’s where he CHOSE to have his SAMADHI, in Sriman Mahaprabhu’s own Sripat.
So how is it minimized as my “opinion”?
My concern for all your readers, including you, Prabhu, is this: Of what value is our so-called “love” for Srila Gurudev if we disregard his all-important LAST ORDER which he issued, not in words to one or two persons, but by the most esoteric drama he enacted — IN MAYAPUR — when he entered Radha-Krsna’s sambhoga-lila seamlessly at the moment of Their eye-to-eye union.
He thus CHOSE to “breathe his last” NOT in BBSR, but in SRIDHAM MAYAPUR.
Therefore there is no doubt — no question — as to where he himself CHOSE to have his samadhi.
TO ADD ANY UNNECESSARY DELIBERATIONS TO THIS VERY SIMPLE TRUTH IS DANGEROUS. SRILA GURUDEVA IS SIMPLICITY PERSONIFIED. LET’S ALSO BE SIMPLE. LET’S SIMPLY HELP HIM RETURN WHERE HE DELIBERATELY CHOSE HIS SAMADHI TO BE.
As I said before, if our hero Sacinandan was able to single-handedly rescue Gurudev from the bulldozer while the temple inmates cowered in fear behind their beadbags (and behind bathroom doors?), we don’t need any big big nation-wide or world-wide campaigns, but just a handful of fearless dedicated people to prove to the world of opposers what Gurudev.s own dramatically demonstrated wishes are.
By the way, I sent you my response to Jagadish Prabhu for posting in your website when I failed to post it myself, but you have not helped. I saw your agreeable response to him. By the same token, he should be given the chance to see my contrary response to him. One-sided debate is unfair – and this debate focuses on our Gurudev’s welfare. Gurudev is witnessing it all. He’d be pleased with fair-play, don’t you think?

Yes! Nice article Jagadisha prabhu. This is very sad situation, anyone who sees the photo of Srila Prabhu[ada’s Bhajan Kutir and does not become aghast or shocked…! What can I say for that person.
Sachinandan prabhu seemed to have the situation under control. We [tvpbooks] even sent a man with Sachinanadan prabhu, to Delhi, who verified everything Sachinanadan prabhu did and said with the Minister concerned. But to no avail. He is not an official committee member.
No offense prabhus but if someone can save our Gurudeva’s samadhi, whether he be an official committee member or not, if he can get the job done. Let him do it.
And Sachinandan prabhu is the man Gurudeva called when there was something that needed attention, he would also call Chaitanya Chandra prabhu and then the secretary to His Divine Grace would be called. So the three would sometimes meet with His Divine Grace and deal with the problem.
There was no committee of non-Gurudeva disciples etc.
Sachinandan prabhu, knows the Government jargon, he knows how they think and talk as he was in a senior Government position for many, many years. He is the best man for the job, not just because he is an Oriya [Odia]. He can get the job done, but he is not an official ISKCON committee member, so why doesn’t someone make him an official committee member?
Also make him an official member of the Bhubaneswar Temple Council just so he can manage the problem and then when it is fixed, he can become a non-member again!!!
Not so hard is it?
“One should never submit to another to an extent that may furnish a rascal with an opportunity of really doing harm. It is inexplicable how those gurus who live in open sin contrive nevertheless to retain the unquestioning allegiance of the cultured portion of their disciples. Such being the case, can we blame any person who hesitates to submit unconditionally to a preceptor, whether he is good or bad? It is of course necessary to be quite sure of the bona fides of a person before we accept him even tentatively as our spiritual guide. A preceptor should be a person who appears likely to possess those qualities that will enable him to improve our spiritual condition.
But the good preceptor claims our sincere and complete allegiance. The good disciple makes a complete surrender of himself at the feet of the preceptor. But the submission of the disciple is neither irrational nor blind. It is complete on condition that the preceptor Himself continues to be altogether good. The disciple retains the right of renouncing his allegiance to the preceptor the moment he is satisfied that the preceptor is a fallible creature like himself. Nor does a good preceptor accept anyone as his disciple unless the latter is prepared to submit to him freely.
A good preceptor is duty bound to renounce a disciple who is not sincerely willing to follow his instructions fully. ”

“The Gaudiya sampradaya, the parampara of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, is a bona fide Vaisnava sampradaya. One should accept the instructions with a simple heart, which are coming from the acaryas in this parampara as it is, and practice them in one’s life. Then you will get the mercy of Sriman Mahaprabhu.
We are not speaking anything pseudo-sampradayist. We should not hear the words of pseudo-sampradayists. When Mahaprabhu ordered, “You become guru and deliver this world,” that instruction has come unto my guru, Srila Prabhupada, and my guru gave me this same order. So I will never develop any duplicity or crookedness in executing this order. That means I will never come in murkha-sampradaya or kapatya-sampradaya or phalgu-sampradaya, the schools of fools, hypocrites and pretenders. I will never teach duplicity or crookedness to anybody. Those who are visayis, materialistic persons, are duplicitous, crooked and envious; they come under pseudo-sampradaya. They are selfish persons.
Those who are under the bona fide sampradaya coming from Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu, they are so powerful that they kick all such sampradaya. They are always, twenty-four hours, day and night, engaged in loving service to the lotus feet of Radha and Krishna, executing the order of their guru. They never desist from rendering pure service without duplicity (niskapata seva.) An Acarya is natural, not pretending, he is not pretentious. He is not pretending as acarya. He is a natural acarya, not artificial. He is more humble than a blade of grass lying on the street and as tolerant as a tree. He gives respect to one and all, seeing Krsna in everybody and never demands respect for himself.
Our teachings, which are coming through our parampara are true, coming from Mahaprabhu. They are our sadacara, our regulative principle. They are law for all humanity. And this law, this sadacara, has come down to us through parampara. If we disrespect it, if we don’t execute in our life, if we add any deliberation, if we twist it, then we will become offenders. We will commit offence by not obeying the orders of guru. Yes, namaparadha. Then we will be far away from the lotus feet of our guru. Guru will never keep us at his lotus feet. If, in order to execute, to obey the order of my guru, it is needed to become very proud, I will never hesitate to become very proud. If it is needed to become an animal, I will never hesitate to become an animal. If it is needed to go to hell for my guru, I will never hesitate to do it. Do you follow me? That is how to execute the order of the guru. That is how to become a true follower of guru.
I will never hesitate to do it. I will never hear from anyone but my guru. Those who are saying something different from this teaching coming through bona fide parampara, coming from Sriman Mahaprabhu – we will never listen to them. If somebody says something different, then like Bhimasena, with my fist, I will crush it. I will destroy it. I will defeat it. I am so proud. With just one speck of dust from the lotus feet of my guru, crores and crores of people of this world will be delivered. You should understand how powerful one little speck of dust of my guru’s lotus feet is. There is no such a scholar as my guru. I will never accept anyone else as a scholar. There are no such teachings as those that my guru has imparted, to be found in any human being, or in any demigod, I know it very well. No one else can give such teachings. There is nothing in this world that is as heavy as a tiny speck of dust from the lotus feet of my guru. This is the follower of true parampara. I am following such parampara. This is the teaching; one should understand it very well.
…He (Srila Prabhupada) is empowered! Can’t you understand this thing? Why couldn’t they (Srila Prabhupada’s god brothers) do this thing? Why do they come at this time and do now, when the atmosphere is created, the platform is there, foundations are already laid, some construction is there? Now they are coming. Now you are going there, leaving ISKCON camp. Such foolishness! You are such a fool! Can’t you understand this thing? Thereby they are committing such offense. [Srila Prabhupada’s god brothers say] He has given only elementary knowledge ABC, nothing higher. You can’t understand what he (Srila Prabhupada) has said. When a tiny seed is there, it contains, like the seed of a banyan tree, so tiny, but it contains a great banyan tree inside. You, fool, cannot understand this thing. So intolerable. As a disciple of my Guru Maharaja and as a member of his founded society ISKCON, it is our duty to keep up the prestige. Yes, it is our duty now.

It is perhaps time to get national attention in this matter? Fasting and passive resistance were used by Gandhi, but Mahaprabhu utilized massive organized sankirtana.
Demons have incarnated in human bodies to harrass and torture the devotees in this time. Now they seek to disturb the temple of the pure devotees, Srila Prabhupada and Gour Govinda Swami. Better to die defending the temple than to allow this to go on.
Are the bigger news media aware of this, has an attempt been made to expose the corrupt politicians who are no doubt pocketing money in these schemes? Have they any righteousness at all, can they be shamed into stopping their attacks on the devotees? Where is the speaker of the house, Prabhu Satyapriya Mahanti, or his descendants, who were our great defenders in the early years?
The GBC were largely always envious, and it appears they prefer to see Gour Govinda Swami diminished, as he exposed their cheating propensities and disqualifications. Where is Jayapataka, and where are the Mayapura devotees? Where is the local GBC, what are they doing? Their lack of substantial action speaks volumes. Where are the crores of lakhs received by them being spent? Would it not be better to get the best legal team behind the temple, instead of suing Madhu Pandita and ritviks and harassing Srila Prabhupadas disciples? Why doesnt Jayapataka and company stand before the bulldozers if they had any real love?
A fight would get national attention if the media were summoned and expected it, and all was recorded for broadcast… Why not distribute leaflets and draw a crowd and the media and hold a protest sankirtan refusing these demons access even to the property? Where are the local villagers, have we not been there for them for decades now?
I speak from a distance, so my talk is cheap, as i cannot place my body on the line. However, we have been preaching the glories of Srila Gour Govinda via internet at puredevoteeseva.ning.com, but we are few and we are distant and we have no resources to speak of other than our determinations and prayers.
There are rascals like Puranjana and such ilk who have gone out of their way to blaspheme Srila Gour Govinda Goswami Thakura as part of a concerted globalist effort to divide and conquer the devotees, and to misplace our real acaryas and replace them with cheaters. This is partially the scheme and result of the work of such demons, no doubt. Their supporters will not help us. But now is not the time to give up, it is the time for a fight to the finish. It is time to bring forth all the real devotees and refuse this evil deed. Have we no crowds of friends or powerful political allies any more there? Are there no national committees and laws to defend human rights and “Hindu” temples?

Lord Jagannatha Will Come!
During Srila Prabhupada’s visit to Bhubaneswar in 1977, Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja was inquiring about the installation of the vigraha forms of the Lord for the Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir. Srila Prabhupada said that Sri Sri Gaura Nitai and Sri Sri Krishna Balaram will be made here in Odisha from brass by the expert artists of Odisha. However Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva and Subhadra Mai will come on Their own.
Srila Prabhupada had foretold this appearance of Sri Jagannatha in 1977 and his words were fulfilled in a most wonderful way. In 1989, a life member of ISKCON, Bhubaneswar was inspired to approach Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja about Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva and Subhadra Mai who were in his home. He desired to bring Them to the temple for proper installation and worship. Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja, remembering the instructions of Srila Prabhupada accepted the proposal.

I get so upset about this because Srila Gour Govinda Swami, a dear, tender, beloved intimate of Sri Sri Radha and Krishna, descended from the beautiful, peaceful, loving Spiritual World (reference: Krishna Lingita Vigraha, One who is always embraced by Lord Krishna) and struggled and suffered in this miserable, nasty stool pit to serve Srila Prabhupada and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu so valiantly for US. And Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada also did the same, no less. Not for themselves, for us. So, are we really going to let their divine projects be destroyed by ‘committees’ and ‘authorities’, either within or outside of ISKCON?
The very land where the Bhubaneswar Temple, Samadhi Mandir and Bhajan Kutir stands is Holy, each stone of that Temple is Holy, the pastimes associated with Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva at that Temple are the Holiest on the planet, more so than countless other huge and famous religious edifices in the world. Therefore Kali and his ruthless, demonic followers want to reduce and destroy it, to cause devotees grief. Everyone wants to be happy in this material world. Mahabhagavat paramhansas like Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva and their servants want the non-devotees to be eternally happy by taking to Krishna Consciousness but Srila Prabhupada warned us the demons become happy by seeing the devotees unhappy. Also remember Kali means hypocrisy, so to the face they will say things like “Sorry”, ” Just a little”, “Soon” or “it’s for your benefit” while they purposely harm you..we see this more and more in every sphere, especially from ‘authorities’.
The conditioned souls who have joined the Hare Krishna movement are like frogs in a pot of boiling water. At first the frog senses the water feels different, then tolerable, then barely tolerable, then intolerable, then it’s all over, he dies. The Hare Krishna Movement of Sriman Caitanya Mahaprabhu is being boiled on various fronts by its enemies, the enemies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His servants. “According to Vedic injunctions there are six kinds of aggressors: 1) a poison giver, 2) one who sets fire to the house, 3) one who attacks with deadly weapons, 4) one who plunders riches, 5) one who occupies another’s land, and 6) one who kidnaps a wife. Such aggressors are at once to be killed, and no sin is incurred by killing such aggressors.” (Purport Ch. 1,Txt 36, Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is). How serious is the crime of occupying another’s land!
As far as i am concerned, the Bhubaneswar Temple including the Bhajan Kutir, belongs to Srila Prabhupada, as the land was gifted to him. Historically Srila Prabhupada fought like a lion to protect Lord Krishna’s properties. The Temple, well, pond, and other buildings he caused to be built by his strenuous divine effort and the Samadhi Mandir also belong to Srila Gurudeva. Nobody has the right to damage or take even an inch from this holy land, these holy structures. No ISKCON or non-ISKCON person has the authorization to permit such a thing. Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva existed before any devotees and they continue to exist. The Temple existed before the highway and all the buildings around it. Those who know the history of this Temple will remember it was all dangerous jungle at the time Srila Gurudeva went there. Srila Prabhupada said a city would grow up around it. Although his leading men fought against it, he sent Srila Gour Govinda to develop that land with no money and no men. The story of Srila Gurudeva’s personal endeavor is heart wrenching, and eventually, what Srila Prabhupada envisioned and Srila Gurudeva struggled to create, manifested. It must remain as it is; let the roads, sewers, whatever, go around it. Those who have illegally torn Srila Prabhupada’s Bhajan Kutir down, and removed other buildings and portions of land must pay to have them rebuilt and reacquired, immediately.
If Srila Gurudeva and Sri Gopal Jiu want his divine body to move to another place, he will definitely go there. If not, he will stay. Meanwhile, the aspect of his removal and relocation as a tactic in dealing with this demonic attack weakens our determination to get the demons off the Sri Bhubaneswar Temple property for good. Our duty is clear and many, including Tamohar prabhu, Mother Sadhika, Nimai Pandit and Sachinandan prabhus, have given worthwhile suggestions from the start as to how best accomplish this.
Gopal Krishna Maharaj passed his time in showing the devotees and Lord Krishna how little understanding and effort he has to spare for this important matter; the frogs feel the water has gotten noticeably warmer. The hotter the water, the weaker the warriors will become. No time to lose now. Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva have so many admirers everywhere. It is time to involve all the Hare Krishna devotees in the world, join together all groups, including casual supporters in saving the Temple, the Samadhi Mandir, Bhajan Kutir, other structures, pond and well. Let the natural successful leader/s step naturally into his/their rightful position/s, let the rank and file devotees support in whichever way they can. Forget committees and politics, just praying and chanting, working together, written and public protests and involvement of media, crowds of devotees and friends, pious government and royal allies, ethical lawyers, human rights organizations and respectable Hindu supporters. This is not the last fight and our organization and experience now will help us in future.
