A lecture by Śrī Śrīmad Gour Govinda Swami delivered on Janmāstamī, 14 August 1990, with additional information from two lectures by Śrī Śrīmad Gour Govinda Swami of which one was delivered on Janmāstamī 2 September 1991 and one on Rāma-navamī 24 March 1991 in Bhubaneswar.

Śrī Śrīmad Gour Govinda Swami would speak at length on the 10 offences before accepting disciples. In Bhubaneswar, Śrī Śrīmad Gour Govinda Swami would give initiations on auspicious days throughout the year, especially Rāma-navamī, Gaura-pūrnimā, Nityānanda Trayodaśī and Janmāstamī.
