Gurudeva’s Tirobhava Mahotsava

On Saturday 22nd February 2014, we had a wonderful program for our beloved Gurudeva Śrīla Ācārya Thakura Gour Govinda Swami’s Tirobhava Mahotsava and for DSC_0150_crop-sthe appearance of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda. Both Vaiṣṇavas were worshipped and glorified very nicely.DSC_0129-s

Many devotees came from the Murwillumbah/Tweed Valley area, from all walks of life, and celebrated together, while Rupa prabhu and Ragalekha dasi sang sweet bhajans including ‘Paramananda He Madhava’ and ‘Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya deva rati mati bhava bhaje’. These two bhajans were extremely popular with our beloved Guru Mahārāja, Śrīla Gour Govinda Swami.

Dhriti’s Amazing Cakes

Dhriti Gopī devi dasi, the wife of the Temple President of New Govardhana farm, made two amazing cakes.Cake-Dis-2014-s

Kalyana prabhu cooked the main subji and supervised the serving prasādam to all the devotees present. Rādhārāṇī devi dasi made very nice garlands and flower decorations.DSC_0131-crop-s

Everyone who came received as free gifts a mp3 disc and a booklet with the same wonderful lecture called ‘Śrī Guru Caraṇa Padma’ which was given by our beloved Gurudeva on 31 May, 1994 in American Canyon, USA. In this lecture he explains, in the most brilliant way, why the feet of Śrī Guru are compared to a lotus.CD_set-3-s

Jagadish Pandit prabhu had copies of the magazine ‘Sādhu Sanga is the Birth Place of Bhakti’, which he distributed to one and all.

    We also had 200 booklets Sri Guru Carana Padma distributed at Bhubaneswar temple for free and 300 of the same booklet at Mayapura for free.

    In my life, this Vaisnava Thakur has stolen my heart. no one else could do it.

    I always keep on reading his divine pastimes and get a lot of inspiration from it.
